Established in Hong Kong in 2000, Hybribio is a leading biotech company specializing in In-vitro diagnostic (IVD) molecular products with fully integrated one-stop operation chain from R&D, manufacturing and sales & marketing to after-sales technical support services. Major diagnostic testing product lines cover women’s health, genetic diseases, infectious diseases, cancer, and pharmacogenetics. In 2017, Hybribio was listed on Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

Hybribio has been the pioneer and promoter of cervical cancer HPV screening in China. In 2006, Hybribio broke through the international technological bottleneck of HPV genotyping and developed the HPV 21 GenoArray Diagnostic Kit which obtained the first China New Drug certificate, and our core patented technology obtained the “China Patent Gold Award” in 2016.

In order to bring the advanced technology to millions of women, Hybribio collaborated with the Ministry of Health of China and Chinese Medical Association to organize 600 training sessions for 150,000 clinicians, and also conducted large-scale population screening trials in multiple regions across the country, promoting HPV DNA testing as the preferred method for cervical cancer screening. Moreover, Hybribio has established the world’s largest HPV database in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of China, providing a solid data support for HPV academic research.

In 2016, Hybribio HPV Genotyping Diagnostic Kits and Gene Chip Preparation method won the China Patent Gold Award, the highest honor in China’s patent field. Subsequently, Hybribio launched a large-scale prospective HPV clinical research, featuring multi-centers, large-sample and three-year follow-up. In 2023, Hybribio 14 High-risk HPV with 16/18 Genotyping Real-time PCR kit became the first NMPA approved HPV testing kit for the expected purpose of cervical cancer screening. It is in line with WHO guidelines and expert consensus, capable of detecting 14 high-risk HPV types while providing individual results for HPV types 16 and 18, significantly reducing misdiagnosis rates. From 2011 to 2024, Hybribio’s HPV diagnostic reagents have passed the external quality assessments of the World Health Organization (WHO) for 8 consecutive times.
